BLANTYRE (Malawi NewsNow) –The legendary comedian John ‘Izeki’ Nyanga-yathyoka brought joy to the lives of so many Malawians  in his lifetime was on Tuesday May 24, was laid to rest at HHI cemetery in Blantyre.

Nyanga was founding member of Kwathu Drama Group, established in 1980 alongside late Charles Severe, Augustine Mawuwa, Esther Jekete

He started drama in 1980s and later got popular for his two-man comedy with Erick Mabedi which was famous as Izeki and Jakobo as his stage name was Izeki.

Izeki ndi Jakobo were born in the 1990s through a mid-week radio magazine on MBC Radio 1.

Until his death, Nyanga was known as Prophet Z; was running a prophetic ministry called Synagogue For Hope Church in Ndirande, Blantyre

Nyanga was born on June 13 1963; he came from Nyangayathyoka Village, T/A Mabuka in Mulanje.
