Piksy -To perform in Birmingham at Malawi Achievers Awards on Aoril 16

BIRMINGHAM (Papius Liwonde) –Malawians in UK will have  great time to watch top rapper Piksy  of ‘Unamatamata’ fame as well as ‘Tsika Nsungwana, itukule’ singer Sonye  who billed to perform at the 2016 edition of the glamorous and glitzy Malawi Achievers Awards UK in Birmingham.

The event will be held on 16 April at the red carpet purpose-built CSN International Exhibition and Conference Centre.

The awards ceremony is hosted by Malawi Association UK (MAUK), an umbrella body for all Malawian chapter and local associations and Malawian groups in the UK.

“MAUK is excited to have the two great musicians from homeland added as performers to an already packed lineup for this year’s ceremony,” says a statement from the event organisers.

Among the artists to perform will be Scotland-based Malawian artist Sean Focus.

Others are Osei Boi and Great Adams from Ghana and Zimbabwean afro pop singer Kazz aka Mr Boomslang.

MAUK will also have a surprise package for the night, a special top artist who will take the audience unawares of his presence and performance, according to the statement made available to Malawi NewsNow.

“This year’s event has a lot of surprises in stock and patrons to the show will have a memorable night. There will be surprise international guest artists and entertainers and the fun levelers will be treated to a sumptuous dinner,” the statement reads in part.

Ahead of the glamourous event, people have the opportunity to book a table online and at the same time choose where they want to sit.

The producers of the event say: “We have made it easy for our patrons. This year we will not have problems with people who have standard tickets trying to gate-crush into the VIP. Everything is systematic.

“The awards ceremony operates on no ticket door sales policy and therefore, we encourage all those who want to attend this special event to buy their tickets in time to avoid losing out.”
