LILONGWE (Malawi NewsNow)-The main gate to Kamuzu College of Nursing (KCN—Lilongwe Campus) was sealed on Monday by security guards from S.K. Guard Services in a desperate move to force college management to pay a K6 million ($8 198) debt owed to their employer.
But the guards allowed KCN employees to access their offices and that business was running as usual despite ordering all members of staff to park their vehicles outside the campus.
The contract between S.K. Guard Services and KCN has since expired.
S.K. Guard Services managing director, Smolek Kachere, confirmed being owed K6 million and that he is failing to pay his guards because of this debt.
