LILONGWE ( Arkangel Tembo, Mana) – Civo United left back, Emmanuel ‘Siyeni’ Zoya has rubbished claims he was on the brink of leaving the Area 3 side to join Blantyre based Big Bullets next season.
He says he is happy at Civo but insisted playing for the people’s team could be a step further.
The Flames international, who had a grand 2015 season, spoke to the Malawi News Agency (Mana) about the speculation of a prospective move to the commercial city of Malawi where he categorically denied the rumours.
“There is nothing in the talk of a transfer away from Civo. I’m happy at my current club. It’s one of the best in Malawi. I’ll continue to work here and be happy where I am. But playing for Big Bullets which is also a giant in Malawi’s football could be a step further, but for the meantime lam for Civo United,” said the Likuni township based footballer.
Big Bullets fans also popularly known as, ‘Mapalestina’ could be excited at the prospects of grabbing Zoya from Area 3, as their team looked to strengthen their left back.
Fodya remains Bullets only reliable left back and if Zoya could find his way to Blantyre then there would be stiff competition on this position.
