BLANTYRE (Malawi NewsNow ) — Recenty, Deputy Director of Administration at Malawi Revenue Authority (MRA) Mr Elvis Thodi was accused of sexual harassment by women at his work place and now it is the state brodacster MBC where its Director General, Mr Aubrey Sumbuleta is being accused of demanding women workers  to perform sex acts with him, Malawi NewsNow can reveal.

A document circulating online, purportedly written by MBC concernced staff charges Sumbuleta oof sexual exploitation.

“Sumbuleta invites female members of staff to his office after working hours. Those who have courageously complained to senior female members of staff speak of nasty experiences,” reads the docment.

“ Sumbuleta demands sex or just to be aroused by asking these females to touch or suck his member. Those who have refused have met his wrath, either by being moved to other departments or transferred to other regions or being stopped from reading news on radio or television.”

The document mentions some of Sumbuleta’s victims after they refused his sexual desires, they included Jane Banda Gogodau, Monica Likoswe, Tryness Nyirenda, Patricia Sundu and Kumbukirani.

But Sumbuleta is reportedly to be getting conserted adult sexual pleasure from other workers including Nkosana, Thembi Malinki and Laison.

The women are asking Minister of Gender, Children, Disability and Social Welfare Mrs Patricia Kaliati to intervene.

Kaliati is on record saying that sshe was “sad” to hear reports of sexual harassment at work places.

“It is high time we fought this and stop men from manipulating us,” said Kaliati.
