BLANTYRE (Malawi NewsNow) – Bullets FC want to snap up former Flames coach, Kinnah Phiri and Dedza Young Soccer Stars’ mentor, Millias Jegwe Pofera as head coach and deputy respectively.
Kinnah has lost his job at Free State Stars in South Africa and Bullets recently also lost its head coach Nswazirimo Rhamadan to the national team.
Bullets chairperson, Mr Sam Chilunga, confirmed to have engaged Kinnah in preliminary talks.
“I have been talking to Kinnah Phiri,” says Chilunga.
“Kinnah is like our father.”
However, Chilunga says the telephoned Kinnah “to console him” after his sacking and also “several issues to do with the club. “
He adds: “As you know, he is our legend. We talked about the team’s performance and commercialisation. He is very much keen to see the club going commercial.”
Chilunga says Kinnah is coming back on September 12.
“Let’s cross the bridge when we get there,” he says.
On Dedza Young Soccer coach, Pofera, the Bullets chairman could not confirm about his role but confirmed engaging him in talks.
