MANGOCHI (Malawi NewsNow ) —Top rated South African kwaito/house group Uhuru are coming to Malawi for this year’s Lake of Stars festival which takes place at Sunbird Nkoplola on the weekend of September 25 to 27
Lake of Stars festival organisers announced on Monday that the South African superstars as the final regional headliner at this year’s event.
“The four-man collective behind hits like The Sound, Khona, Saka Nana, and Duze will be playing on the Friday night, 25 September,” Lake of Stars director Mr Will Jameson wrote in a statement.
Meanwhile, the festival which has partnered with Airtel, Malawian Airlines, DSTV, Capital FM, Royal Norwegian Embassy, Creative Scotland, Sunbird Hotels and Resorts and Concerts SA, is running a discounted LoS ticket promotion on Airtel money.
Festival goers subscribed to the Airtel money services can purchase their LoS tickets at an K8,000 discount by selecting the following options: *211# > Make Payments > Pay Bill > Other > ‘LOS2015’ > K25,000. There is however a maximum of one discounted ticket per account.
Advance 2015 LoS tickets can also be bought at Papaya, Mabuya Camp, Flavours Café, Multichoice and Koko Bean Café in Lilongwe; Café Ameca, Steers, Multichoice, The Quarter Bistro, Sunbird Mount Soche in Blantyre; and in Mzuzu at Sunbird Mzuzu Hotel.
