ArrestedLILONGWE (Malawi NewsNow) – Malawi Police have pressed murder charge to Mr Samuel Victor from Kaphatikiza village T/A Nsomba in Blantyre after a man was beaten to death at Kiboko bar in Lilongwe.

Police suspect Victor is the one who killed a 43-year-old man Mr Ramsey Pelekamoyo Chirwa of Kapandansalu village T/A Kaomba in Kasungu District.

National police Public Relations Officer, Ms Rhoda Manjolo said police managed to arrest Victor, after two months of manhunt.

Mr Chirwa was a serving member of G4s security company,.

After he was murdered, Victor is suspected to have gone to break his house in Area 3 Lilongwe in May this year and robbed the deceased property.

The police managed to recover some of the deceased’s property from the suspect.

”The suspect was found in possession of the victim’s Airtel simcard and a pair of lace-up boots and he revealed during interrogations that he sold the handset in Ntcheu,”said Manjolo.

During interrogation, the suspect confessed that he sold some other items which he had stolen.
