BLANTYRE (Malawi NewsNow) —Fired Surestream Football Academy coaches Henry Solomon, Honest Nkhwazi and Aubrey ‘Mpeza’ Magombo, have expressed interested to commence legal proceedings against of unfair dismissal.
The coaches, through Mr Mateyu Msiska of Gondwe & Attorneys, have written Surestream and are expected to lodge their case in court.
The coaches were attached to the academy’s Under-14 and Under-12 teams and hired under the administration of Surestream Academy’s former technical director Peter Mponda who parted ways with the academy.
Surestream public relations officer Ms Linda Chiume-Gombela said they will respond the law firm hired by the coached within seven days, saying the contract termination has nothing to do with Mponda who is now running his club FISD Wizards.
Chiume-Gombela said the academy is undergoing “restructuring process” that requires them to have only A-licence coaching certificate holders drilling the youths in their fold.
She said the three were deemed to be surplus to requirements.
