BLANTYRE (Malawi NewsNow ) — Bullets FC striker Chiukepo Msowoya has returned from his trials at South Africa`s top league side Bidvest Wits earlier as the deal was embroiled in controversy.

Bullets vice-secretary Mr Kelvin Moyo confirmed the development that Msowoya returned home on Sunday the day he was supposed to complete his trials.

Moyo said details regarding the results of the trials would be communicated from the agent that handled the player` s move to the Rainbow nation.

“Chiukepo has returned home but we were expecting him to be back on Monday. But I cannot say why he has returned earlier,” Moyo said.

Moyo said Chiukepo`s move would be affected by a clash of agents who are claiming ownership of the player.

“We are aware that some people have started contacting Bidvest Wits claiming that he is their player. I am hoping that this would tamper with his move as it was the case with Peter Mponda at French side Auxerre,” he said.

In a related development Moyo dismissed allegations that Chiukepo was offered an outright contract.

“Chiukepo was not offered an outright contract. He was offered trials and they are looking for first choice striker (number 9),” he said.
