BLANTYRE (SuperSport ) —Former Rwandan side APR right-winger Charles Tibingana has completed his medical at Malawian side Big Bullets and is set to sign a one-year deal with the current table leaders.

The 21-year old Ugandan-born, Tibingana, confirmed the developmen.

“Big Bullets officials including the head coach have been impressed with my performance so far in training and I passed the medical,” he said.”

However, Tibingana revealed that both parties are yet to agree on personal terms but the progress looks positive.

Tibingana played for APR in the 2013/2014 season in Rwanda winning the national league title as well as the Peace Cup but was denied legibility to play last season because the army side decided to stop fielding naturalized players.

He had joined from Sports Club Victoria University in Uganda having earlier featured for Proline Soccer Academy where he played with Kaizer Chiefs’ duo of Ivan Bukenya and Sula Matovu.

Tibingana was part of the Rwanda Junior Wasps side that qualified for the 2011 Fifa U-17 World Cup in Mexico.

He scored Rwanda’s second goal in the opening 2-1 victory against Burkina Faso at the Caf U-17 African championships in Rwanda and scored the home side’s lone strike against the same side in the final that they lost 2-1 but had already secured their place at the world stage.

Big Bullets are also in the market for Dedza Young Soccer defender and captain Chisomo Mpachika, Aimable Niyikiza (Mzuni FC) and Chester Yamikani (Azam Tigers).
