LILONGWE (Ali Kaka, NewsNow) – Blue Eagles on Saturday   handed Silver Striker a  second successive defeat at home within a week and plunged Banker deeper into  difficult  TNM Super League title campaign trouble.

Micium Mhone put Eagles ahead 14 minutes into the game from the penalty spot after Lucky Malata had fouled Junior Malidadi.

Silver striker Peter Wadabwa levelled the scores eight minutes in the second half following a move of utter beauty that involved Green Harawa and Ndaziona Chatsalira, who laid a pass for Wadabwa to score past an out-of-position Eagles’ goal-tender John Soko.

Eagles reclaimed the lead through Junior Malidadi in the 59th minute.

The Bankers responded through Green Harawa, who scored from the penalty spot after an Eagles defender had handled the ball in the box.

Eagles winner came through Elia Kabingu in the 78th minute.

Silver coach Stein Chirwa admitted after the match that it was “ a pinful loss.”

Deklerk Msakakuwona coach for Eagles said it was “a deserved” victory for his side who still on third position with 23 points from 12 games.
