BLANTYRE (Malawi NewsNow) –Former presidential adviser on religious affairs the Reverend Dr Billy Gama is ” stable” in hospital after he sustained injuries when his vehicle overturned three times along the Robert Mugabe Highway while travelling from Mulanje to Blantyre on Wednesday.
Gama, who is moderator of Mulanje Mission CCAP, was travelling in a Nissan X-Trail, when his driver lost control as he negotiated a bend.
He was admitted admitted to Blantyre Adventist Hospital with serious injuries, which are not life-threatening.
CCAP Blantyre Synod deputy general secretary the Reverend Moyenda Kanjerwa said Reverend Gama sustained “head and chest injuries and has bruises in the face.”
Gama’sdriver, who has an open fracture on his right leg, is at Queen Elizabeth Central Hospital (QECH) in Blantyre.
