BLANTYRE (Malawi NewsNow) — Bullets FC will land new sponsors, says the club chairman Mr Sam Chilunga.
Chilunga expresses optimism that the champions and current TNM Super League leaders -with a six-point cushion – will strike a deal with new sponsor because of its winning streak and unbeaten run as well as rebuilding from the infighting that had bedevilled the club.
The People’s Team will soon “hit the jackpot”, Chilunga stresses.
Last season, Bullets won a double—the TNM Super League championship and the Carlsberg Cup—but were beaten on Be Forward sponsorship bid by their rivals Be Forward Wanderers.
Bullets were last sponsored by Carlsberg Malawi Limited in 2012 alongside the Nomads to the tune of K15 million ($30 000) each before they were both left out in the cold when the company opted to sponsor the national soccer team.
The club depends on proceeds from gate takings and TNM Sapota Mapeto promotion.
