BLANTYRE (Malawi NewsNow)- Bullets FC confidence to defend the Malawi TNM Super League is sky-high after their unbeaten run in the first round with their performances as impressive as their results and laid down the challenge to their title rivals Mighty Be Forward Wanderer: ‘Catch us if you can.’
Big Bullets FC technical director Billy Tewesa has warned their rivals they will have it all to do to snatch the trophy from the People’s Team.
Tewesa said the table says Bullets are the team to catch.
“We have done well and deserve to be in this position. We are collecting maximum points simply because we know we have a goal to achieve at the end of the season. We want to defend the title without defeat,” Tewesa said.
Tewesa said this after Bullets thrashed visiting Epac FC 4-1 in their final TNM Super League first round match at the Kamuzu Stadium on Saturday.
BB finished the first round on the summit of the league table with 32 points and remained the only unbeaten side in the league this season.
Bullets will receive K1 million for finishing top in the first round, six points ahead of second placed Be Forward Wanderers who drew 1-1 against Red Lions.
